Seizing an Opportunity
Hess Musallet saw potential in The SoSo restaurant and was delighted when he heard they were closing. He seized the opportunity to purchase the restaurant, taking advantage of an offer he couldn’t refuse. As a loyal customer, Musallet was already familiar with his favorites: The Mediterranean salad bowl and chicken empanadas, making the transition to owner seamless.

Taking Advantage of a Turnkey Condition
Musallet is enthusiastic about his new restaurant, Pixies, which takes its name from a sweet mandarin orange variety. He observed that the South of Southern neighborhood had a big void for fine-casual restaurants and was excited to take advantage of the turnkey condition the DiSchino family’s space offered. Musallet believes Pixies is the perfect fit for the area and is making “small, aesthetic” tweaks to the sunny space to ensure its success.
